How do I get a new label designed?

GBS creates new, custom label designs constantly. Typically, there is a design lead time of about 1-5 days following receipt of all requested design materials.

The overall process for designing a new label follows the general outline below:

  1. Send GBS a Purchase Order along with an existing label you want to match or a new label sketch with color selections. Include a sample data file or spreadsheet if the label is to be printed from a customer's files. Provide the customer with a few sheets of label stock for testing their label once it is complete.
  2. GBS will build the label design and post it to the Internet, along with new UserID's and Passwords and a sample label data file with all identifying information "anonymized", as required.
  3. GBS will send an email to the Dealer, and optionally to the customer, announcing the completion of the label design and providing instructions on how to use it. An E-mail attachment contains the spreadsheet and/or file format the label design is based on.
  4. The Dealer or Customer should print out sample labels on GBS label stock using the printer intended for "live" label printing. Check a full page of labels for correct colors, layout, and alignment.
  5. Advise via email if the colors or layout need modification. Any required changes will be posted to the Internet.
