Is there a way for NetLabels to generate a sequential number on my label?
Auto-Sequence NetLabels now has the ability to automatically generate a sequential number for use on label designs.
How it works
A text file containing the starting number of the sequence is placed either on the customers hard drive, or on a network drive. When the design is completed, we hardcode the location of the file into the design. Each time a label is printed, NetLabels updates that file with the next available number. File locking is used to prevent duplicate numbers from printing.
Customer Benefit
- No need to keep track of last number printed
- Each label will have a unique number, no matter how many users are printing
- Simple bar-coding, even if they aren’t using it now, they might want to later (e.g. tracking).
